He was trying to keep her low key to so she would fly under the radar of the queen
I’m pretty sure he doesn’t want other people to know about his illness so if he was to randomly raise her status then it would seem suspicious and people would start investigating her to find out what’s going on between them so that’s probably why he’s having her go to the academy first because graduating will give her the qualities to become his secretary and people wouldn’t be suspicious of them being close
I don't really get the logic behind this. If she's the only one who can relieve his pain, shouldn't she be treated like a VIP? I understand that she was a slave but still..
