I have met ppl who are like you say, but thanks to 50 Shades there are a lot of idiots claiming to be doms who don't practice consent at all. To me, this manga is more of an accurate representation of what the real-life 'BDSM scene is like.

Yeah that’s exactly the same problem that I have with this. Putting aside the fact that Dom-sub verse is hilarious as a concept, it’s kinda problematic because it completely neglects the fundamentals of what a REAL BDSM dynamic is like. There’s more to it than just dominating and submitting. It’s about trust and boundaries and communication. All of that is completely ignored when you add an element of “instincts” that don’t rely on the communication aspect of BDSM :/

I love the story. I REALLY do. I am just having a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of a dynamicverse of Doms and Subs. I guess because I know a lot of people in real life that are into BDSM and the entire point of BDSM is that it is mutual, consensual and fundamentally based on respect. And this dynamicverse concept just throws all that out the window. Especially the consent part. So really glad that this is one of the first two I found, and that the Dom in it is respectful and not demanding.
