But no. He only punished her when she acted improperly in her etiquette, a side consort confronting wangye and wangfei in a rude way.
Jing Shao isn't a white-lotus MC, he's portrayed as a realistic human who held grudges and so what? When reading a historical ancient monarchy setting, you won't get anywhere with your modern western mindset really...but accusing an author like that is very rude when she prolly knows better about the culture of that time and just tried to be realistic about the plot.
