Umm if violet suffered from verbal abuses and some (mistreatment from social plp and sensual interest from His brother in law)
Winter got beaten and suffered being slave he also still experiencing unfair treatment so he always range and beat people faces (Nobel, guard etc)
They both suffering so its understandable at some degree
