They genuinely liked each other in her first life and had children. Ella then feels jealousy towards her children because she felt that they were taking away the ML's affection. She became delusional hence that scene where she slaps the maid and the ML, thinking he was cheating with the maid. I just want to clear it up so people don't go pitying Ella since she doesn't deserve it.
