i never like romance in these kind of stories either, cause it takes a lot of the focus off from the main character. However, i would be okay if they actually give you time to learn about her and have make the audience care for her rather than introducing a big booby damsel in distress like a lot of op mc mangas do.

I love the story but if there is romance it feels like I've wasted my time and I want to know if to drop.
Personally I really think it would take away from the story of him being a morally grey character who mainly cares for himself. Like she would change him or that he would actually care what another person thinks "for the sake of love" which is NOT appealing for this plot
