I would also like to add that in the scene where the emperor and the empress were talking about sending her to the beasts' ceremony, the emperor was mad that the empress didn't acknowledge mc as her child. But when empress treated her child so rudely, the emperor said nothing.
Also, in the last chapter lart looked like he became close to blondie. Why so suddenly?? I liked his character the most because I had a feeling he was going to get development and become a good bro but where is the regret? Where is the begging for forgiveness?
The story is so good but the whole family dynamic has a lot of plotholes or a lot of unnecessary coldness but then also affection that pops out out of nowhere. I feel like her stepsister is the only person (apart from blondie) who has a legit personality. Her relationship with blondie is also explained well. And she's not a bad villain.

Not only that he never cared about her or her life. Giving money doesn’t make u a good parent. He ignored her struggles, never cared to get to know her past nor apologized for a abandoning her (pretty sure he only looked for her for ghouls eyes), there is no way he doesn’t know she was abused when she was full of bruises first time he saw her. He’s trash and I hope she never forgives him

Not to mention he also didn't know a single thing about what her mother was going through while the mother loved him so much? Idk if he really loved her cause his love was half assed

I don't like the emperor's personality. Wasn't he the one to tell her to live quietly like the dead in the first few chapters? Am I missing somthing here? Also did he start liking her because she resembled her mom so much? What if she didnt? Anyways I don't like him. If I was blondina I would have rejected his "affection" if I heard what he said in the first few chapters
