There are some cases that someone can overcome their trauma without medical treatment but its not common. And definitely not just from a romantic love. Especially if its too serious, they need treatment along with support.
Honestly I am a little biased as I come of a family with people that have bipolar disorder and think they can cure themselves or not do the appropriate treatment. So I get really pissed of when those people that suffer from traumas, ptsd, or any kind of mental illness are treated like crazy and people don’t even bother to draw a doctor to treat them, like it’s common sense. This guy needs therapy ASAP. Love is not gonna heal him. I feel like those mangas has the power to teach people to look for help you know, but they just ignore it. Sorry for my rambling.
Yeah its sad. And a lot of mangas/manwha has psychological genre yet its rare that they emphasized the importance of medical treatment/therapy. I agree that this could've been a great platform for promoting mental health awareness
I think the seme needs some treatment... It's not like the boy is his therapist. He won't heal completely just because of the ''POWER OF LOVE'' like some stories portray
