In the new life he still does have an affair with the red hair bitch for a while but he gradually starts to release that what he feels isn’t love and the red haired bitch is very much emotionally manipulating him into staying by her side so she can use him. She probably will end up with the emperor but we’ve only now started to see some type of progress there so he’s not possessive or anything as yet :)
