I know this don’t quite the recommendation you’re looking for, but I definitely recommend the author’s other manga ‘Haru No Noroi’ where a girl gets tangled up with the man her sister (that died) was arranged to marry. The characters do have a rather simple background, but the situation is portrayed as somewhat toxic and each character has their own darker traits that come to light (obsessiveness, cheating, etc)

do y'all know some mangas with a similar toxic/twisted relationship. like they don't have a simple background so they don't act "normal". It's pretty interesting to see how fucked up people act
