Literally Jin (the best friend) and Aaron (demon doctor) are meant to be. They were always meant to be and you'll see why in the future chapters.
I also know but since I can't really read the dialogue in kr, I keep feeling like something was off with Jin xD
But yeah SID and Jin are just huge no no, anything else is better.

He's not going to use just one. Tbh I didn't really understand if the souls he used were temporary measures of if they would lead to total cure (read the RAW). But this chapter says it's going to eventually get better, so fingers crossed.
But somewhere later, he just keeps spamming the souls like feeding a druggie in withdrawal symptoms.
Still, Jin remains sorta off for a really long time, it's like watching him getting reset. I wouldn't say they "are meant to be" because, uh, I feel like the doctor was projecting his first love to Jin.
