Sad though, right?! His dream of being a slacker was so easy to achieve if he didn’t get himself involved in ALL the drama but now that he’s taking care of Raon and his family (I mean literally his whole family bc his friends actually turned into family +his real family) just doesn’t give him a break anymore. Stuff keeps popping up for him and he’s literally the strongest in his country to like really protect his bestie/brother from another mother from getting killed/find out.
True. And he also actually doesn't have much choice but to help because he was already aware and had knowledge so, in a way, he really was doing it for himself at first until he started doing it for others too (especially the people that he used to only say that he wouldn't get involved with but now treasures as his family) and things just developed to how they are rn. Although in the first place, he was actually already involved too due to the thing with og!Cale, WS, and his previous world. It really makes me curious about the God of Death (since he was the one to make deals with og!Cale) and Nelan Barrow (I forgot his other name lmao // because of the two books pf The Birth of a Hero, one that Cale as KRS read and one that they found in the Dragon Slayer village or smth). I wonder if the theories about GoD being Nelan Barrow will come true or smth.
Anywayyy,, I hope Cale gets to rest and have his slacker life as soon as this war is over. It doesn't seem likely because of Clopeh Sekah tbh, but Cale deserves to have a break. :(((
