Right? Like I have a pretty supportive dad and I still am an asshole and an overthinker. That's just how being a teenager works and some people here legit seem to forget that. We weren't perfect y'all! We were trying to survive with half a brain and way too much shit to memorize for a test no one cared about

issei is a pretty good representation of teenagers. He's angsty, overthinks, an asshole, can't get his thoughts through and is insecure like normal people and not the perfect ml you usually see in shoujo manga. So for me I don't really find him irritating or annoying, he's pretty likable and as there were no responsible adults around him to make him say his problems and thoughts aloud he kept lying or kept getting angry as a coping mechanism and kept hiding the truth. Honestly i relate to issei very much as there was a similar situation around me but i hope his character can now grow and he would be able to trust others.
