Guys, go easy on him..

The sunbae clearly has abandonment issues, he is pushing her away to test her a bit, justifying it as best for both of them. Can't blame her for leaving, but usually you would need patience and persistence to get through to someone like him, to make him trust that she loves him no matter how much he pushes her away, coz he can't have much faith in what she says. And because she goes right back to the childhood friend (who she is still unsure about), it makes it obvious to sunbae that was a mere stopgap for her, just a distraction. As I always recluse myself, because getting too attached to friends leads to disappointment usually, I relate to him so much. He's cutting his losses, and he is very human. In fact, he is mature about it, not like the childhood friend who starts imposing and overstepping the moment she gets a little further from him.

Personal opinion: I feel we need to be more sympathetic towards actions of male leads in korean manhwas in general. If we can defend FLs for pushing MLs away relentlessly and stupidly because of their past, then we can forgive MLs for doing the same.

i never thought about it this way but it makes so much sense because alot of female leads in manga's push the guy away because "she cant like him" or "shes not ready for that", and we all understand but for male leads people have zero patience so it makes me see them in a new light.

Exactly right? I read a korean novel in which the FL actually punched the ML when he was teasing her (can't remember the specifics, but he didn't even touch her or be rude to her), and then it was played for laughs because she bruised her knuckles, so he had to apologise to her for her punching him. That was the last straw for me...

Fr also I don’t know if you read the manga “everything was a mistake” but the fl really doesn’t try to make the relationship work, she gets mad at the ml for “using her” even though the only reason she approached him was to not get killed.

Oh yeah, I dropped it coz the FL was annoying me. She approaches him to use him in order to stay alive, and then gets mad and teams up with the manhwa's male lead and female lead in order to 'contain' the ML, her oldest friend, when she knows there's a lot more going on behind the scenes, and he's being repeatedly vulnerable with her. That was annoying...

Yessss she read the novel before being reincarnated so she knows what’s going on but as soon as her friend talks about some “dream” she had, she automatically believes her. Anyways it’s nice to have someone who shares the same opinion as me
