Fl is kind of dumb and naive. It was stated in the past that the Emperor conquered kingdoms by war and kidnapped you, then forced you to have a child with him? He even slaughtered your whole family and crushed your country in the book and you’re saying that he doesn’t seem to like killing people. He killed people in front of you and locked you in a room and you’re catching feelings? Just because he’s adoring you or something doesn’t mean he’s not ruthless. Honestly she’s so dense that she’s ignoring all the red flags.
