Ancia goes off to a dark place when she turns 13, Blake turns 11, in order to release him of his curse.
In the novel it's describes as her walking for a very VERY LONG time, in fact she walks through the darkness for 8 years. ( 7... I forget)
In the end she finds out the entire history of his curse and what exactly happened, and who exactly she and Blake are.
Its super sad but omg its such a good read. No worries peeps, there will be a happy ending but PLENTY of cringey/frustrating/crying moments after our ml and fl become 11 and 13
