Don't know if you mean something specific, but for one in this story there are similar twists to the ones made in the Maleficent films in comparison to the real fairytale of Sleeping Beauty... Here there's also one of the good guys and one of the bad guys exchanging the roles they have in the the real myth: the good guy turns out to be secretly evil, and the bad guy turns out to be not so bad and only hurt and misunderstood.
Partially yes... but the gender roles are changed somewhat..for example in real Egyptian mythology...Ra is a man not woman. Geb, earth god is supposed to be woman not man and so on..plus the basic foundation plot is true regarding their existance... And of course the BL fantasy is not real
