Point is, these people set a certain story, the one that impacted them most and use this as their reference. They will associate all stories that might have even the most minute similarities to it. It’s kind of like the nature of someone who’s new to reading and are still exploring the genre.
The more they read, the more they will realize no story is the same and every single story has its unique world building.

Imagine you’re in an writing class and you get a prompt for a story, a singular factor that all your classmates and your stories will have in common. But when the teacher goes to grade the papers she says some shit like “damn this paper is giving me the same vibes as that first paper I read! Damn that’s crazy!”
Guys ~_~ POTN or any story set in ancient/historical Korea is gonna give “the same vibes”, the characters can only look so many ways cuz it’s set in the same time period....these are completely different stories lmfao
