You guys are forgetting that no matter how mature Ichigo may be through out most of the story he is still 15 years old. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
Naruto was also kinda this age...
Yusuke was younger and Gon is younger than Yusuke and pretty sure Goku was younger than Gon on DBZ.
So yeah... I get what you saying, but all these other characters had a bad time, questioned their powers for a while, but then they moved on.

"It's over" wtf man, you're the main character, don't loose your hopes know. The ENTIRE manga you kept loosing your hopes, then some friend shouts something at you then you'd wake up and fight again.
On the last moments of this manga, can't you just stand by yourself and fight without having a crowd cheering you up?
