I think it's trauma from his past that he uses as an excuse to not be with Jahee, it's a bit annoying but understandable.
his feelings are much more valid when you get to know more of their history. in the english translation all we know is that they broke up in high school, reunited a year later, and as an orphan dojun has a fucked up family situation. the raws have explored his past a lot more so it's easier to sympathize with him
There's nothing wrong with the translation, it's just that we'll know more about his past and his reasons for being so stubborn in the next chapters (:
