For me, Baal doesn't have any emotions, those things that he did to Anisa are just the things that Dietrich ordered to do so because Dietrich is his King. It's like all he did are scripted because for Baal Anisa is the princess. Of course if there's someone who ismore powerful than Dietrich then Baal would willingly switch side. That's just my opinion about how Baal act based on the story. hehe
I’m pretty sure Baal didn’t do because of Dietrich's order only. Apparently, he has looked after her with love & care. Remember? he even made milk with strawberry & chocolate flavor to make it more tasty for her. ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

IDK I get the feeling that Baal starts saying like that, just to check what is Dietrich's true feeling & thought because Baal is truly love Anissa and starts to worry about what will happen to her. -- I may be wrong thou.
