i believe isis’ curse for none of them to have what they wanted pertains to what they wanted in that moment (and overall). isis wanting horus to overthrow seth is a goal she develops after she placed that curse, after seth began to persecute her. what she wanted at the time she placed the curse was osiris, or basically the same loving marriage and relationship with him she thought she had previously. she will never get that back, no matter what. if you reread the earlier chapters you’ll see one of the dilemmas she has around the time she placed the curse is that she still loved osiris, even knowing what he did and that he didn’t love her, and that he was horrible she still wanted him. so yeah the curse didn’t mean that they’d never get all the things they’d want for the rest of their lives, but just what they had truly wanted at the time isis placed her curse, at least that’s how interpreted it :))

Yeah, that's another point why the curse confuses me because at first when I saw that scene where she's placing the curse, I thought the same. She stated specific things that the cursed will not get but during Horus and Seth's last battle when Isis called the Nile River to flood Egypt, a personification of the curse appeared and said something about she will not get what she wants and such, so that had nothing to do with Osiris but her desire to defeat Seth was so strong the curse activated. So I thought even when she crafted specific conditions on the curse she cast, the curse is also applicable with other things that they strongly desire.

I really like the reasons you thought for Isis not being enthusiastic about Osiris' misdeeds coming to light, they're very plausible reasons. As for Horus' conception, I agree that it might have happened without sexual intercourse, but I still think he's Isis and Osiris' child, and definitely not Seth's biological child, because I don't think the author would pair them up if it turned out they were father and son... (same as I'm hoping that no *sexual* AnuSeth will happen in season 2!). I don't think there was any parent-child incest even in the real myth... (many ancient mythologies "accept" sibling incest, but draw the line at parent-child incest)

It's possible her wish for Horus to be king was not affected by the curse because it wasn't a *personal* wish... meaning not something she yearned for with her all heart, but merely something she concluded was "the best course of action" after reasoning with a cool head... Though the most important reason I can think of for that wish not to be thwarted by the curse, is that it wasn't really a selfish wish (as it was meant to save Egypt, for starters)

Thanks! (≧∀≦)V And also, I do hope Osiris's obsession didn't go that far. It's just an interesting thought not based on anything but the drive of crazy people to create possibilities. Also, if you think about it, the laws of the gods as stated by Ra, it's quite liberated and Osiris being a psycho that he is who loves to torment his subject of affection... I think he might actually do that. And the gods, being a mess that they are when it comes to their relationships, it might not be that strange for that kind of possibility to be a fact. It's just a thought though, I can't really explain it well but to sum it up, Osiris has the potential to do that just to spite on Seth and then call it as his act of love and devotion towards him since his head's messed up.
Don't get me wrong, she's a beech still, but I do get why she's covering Osiris's ass and this might be just one of the reasons. I believe she's doing that because of her reputation as well Horus's claim for the throne. And since that's the reason for her return to Egypt, so if Osiris's evil deeds come to light this might smear Horus's reputation and cancel his rights to the throne as the supposed heir of their "True King" Osiris.
There's just one thing that caught my eye during their chaos in this trial. Isis put a curse on them to not get what they want and her goal from the very beginning is to reinstall their reign on Egypt and for her son to rule the people... but why did she get it though? So it left me thinking that there are gray areas to the curse she cast upon them four, and maybe she didn't want Seth to be punished or such, or it's just that her desire for that to happen is not as strong as that time with the Nile river.
Also, a thought came to mind when I remember Osiris experimenting on creating his and Seth's child. It had me thinking that maybe Horus is the final product of his experiment and when Isis resurrected him from the Nile he planted their seed inside Isis for the child to be brought to this world since you know, for a child to be born there has to be a womb, and he made a surrogate mother out of Isis. It's a crazy thought, but what if? Osiris' insane anyway, so it couldn't be that far.
