Change of Pace

First time I've ever seen a k-novel where the FL isn't made out of tissue paper. Figures that she'd have the most ship tease with a female character (who has the typical k-novel heroine attributes). Lestia is clearly supposed to be the ML. Only the ML can call a stab wound a minor injury that can be healed with food.

The yuri vibes are seriously strong with this one. Makes me want to read the novel.

Lmao you’ve been reading a bunch of lame stories then bc there’s so so so many where the female lead is powerful asf and owns everyone like the bad bitch she is, untouchable lady is the best example of this

I do read about strong heroines, but there's different kinds of strength (my favorites are scheming FLs, but I pick up the occasional fighter as well). I'm saying it's the first time I've read a k-novel where the FL doesn't have toothpicks for bones that break with the slightest pressure. For example: lightly kick the ML's shoe and fracture her toe, break every bone in her hand while holding husband's hand through a seizure, or hilariously, go blind after reading an erotica.

FLs in Korean novels are typically ridiculously weak, to contrast with the ML, who will walk away fine after being run over by a carriage. Even in novels where the FL is strong and competent, they either start off weak and build up physical strength (or obtain cheat abilities), or they start off strong and then suddenly find themselves handicapped for some reason (often pregnancy), thus limiting their ability to protect themselves. Because the ML ALWAYS has to be stronger than the FL, or else he can't save her from every physical challenge.

I just find it refreshing to have a character who would realistically not be physically strong, yet is somehow able to wield a regular sword as a weapon without any current-body experience, as well as carry an adult female in a princess carry at a normal speed without any sign of difficulty. Like, did the original Lestia work out? Because I would like an explanation.

So I hadn't read Untouchable Lady yet, so I started reading it, but...are you two SERIOUSLY recommending a novel with a magic-using FL when I was fangirling over an FL having actual muscles!? DO YOU KNOW HOW COMMON THAT IS??? You had a sliver of my interest initially, but now I'm just disappointed. Still waiting for this girl to lift...pretty much anything.

So you know, I have read about badass FLs such as you're describing in k-novels. If you looked at my reading list, you'd notice that.

The sisters one where the dark-haired half-sister is a former mercenary who later becomes pregnant -- the Cheerful Countess Sisters.

The redhead lady who forms an assassins group called the Owls, where she goes back in time after being betrayed -- Aidin.

I have read both of these, and they're on my reading list.

The second one (girl builds a mercenary group while royal family thinks she's a sickly homebody) I don't remember ever having read it. Let me know if you remember the name, because THAT ONE sounds interesting.

I tried reading the Emperor and the Female Knight before, but it didn't really grip me...I might try it again at some point.
