I mean as for myself, its weird to be dating your step brother because its a family member whether there are related or not. But my perspective has been skewed by the Japanese yaoi manga that actually have that trope

I just don't understand. Is that a big deal? They're not even blood related. They can be both happy. The mom and the dad don't need to break up. Or they really break up?
