As I got it he was hurt because of something in the past and that why he put up wall around himself. I think he kinda got used to all his partners just take things from him and not giving that he just stopped except anything.
It's not that the seme is sus but he just has this humongous wall I guess. He did say he was a giver type but this is probably why he got into so many break ups... I mean look at the uke wanting to please him but he's all "that's fine"... :( which leads me to plug Nth Romance manhwa, a really good josei manhwa about relationships haha
