Agreed, though I also think it varies from story to story. Alpha x Omega is like the “straight couple” as it’s seen as a norm in the universe, but I feel like a lot of authors mess with the omegaverse lore and stuff to where it really depends on the story itself and that “universe.”

But also, yaoi, or really you could say this about anything, isn’t at all a good representation of LGBTQ+ couples. Sometimes you find a hidden gem but like... it’s mainly aimed towards a certain demographic (in this case, fujioshis and fudanashis). Like how many shoujo aren’t a good representation of straight couples either. So idk.
