So basically the emperor sees how neon (ishid named the gem that) isn’t affected by any of the elements and he’s a nasty mf so he’s like if I could use this for myself I would be OP (cuz he saw how even ishids power didn’t work on it). But like the piece of shit he is, he didn’t want to try it out himself so he’s saying a child “will be given the honour of protecting it” which means it’s gonna have to ingest into the body and see what happens. And he’ll keep using children to see what the effects are and if he can use it on himself. Except he doesn’t realize that the monster is still dead.... so idk what’s going to happen now

the king basically wants to perform experiments on young children to see if they'll develop regenerative abilities like those monsters. Since the core was powerful enough to the point even ishid couldn't destroy it he wants that power. A greedy psycho tbh preforming dangerous human experiments on children is fucked up

I think it’s the fact the emperor thinks that neon can make u have regenerate abilities but he doesn’t know that you can still be killed since the monster is also dead idk that’s what I think

i think the neon rock is like parasite that manipulate its own host to stay alive .. as its have the ability to protect itself and finding ways to enter a host means that thing is alive or so what i thought .. its just my speculation

if this true .. then thats explain the monster strange behaviour as they learn by watching .. the neon core probably have control on host brain to protect its own host for its to alive

the ones that haven't been answer are . each magic or ability need resources to keep energy and mana to using the ability or magic .. as ishid even tho he powerful yet he still exhausted of mana and energy to keep battle on ... the neon core .what its use as its own energy to keep regenerating each time get attack ?? as its not eating meals like human gain energy .. what its consumed to keep alive even without host ? and how long it can still regenerating without host ?
