He really did lose his memory. If you're confused, in the panel where he said, "Should I pretend to remember everything?", it's because he still didn't regain his memories yet but he pretended to remember because Hosik is feeling uneasy about it. In the last panel after Seungyeon kissed Hosik in the picture, he said that he regains his memories a month later (from after the time they took the family picture)
In total it was about five months or like four months in a couple weeks that he completely, lost his memory and got it back after that
