The novel was removed from the site so I cant access it anymore. And yes, they were ambushed by the wolves. Vivi and Ash were separated from Ahin's companions since they ran away when Vivi's felt that she's going to transform. Vivi and Ash found an abandoned shack but they were surrounded by the wolves who tried to kill both of them. Ash successfully killed them but was heavily wounded.
