I’m gonna spoil it from where I read so far

So basically the goblins have been going NUTs and riftan and the knights are needed again, and since riftan told her no more healing magic she had to stop but she doesn’t want riftan going on a long journey so she disguised herself as a priest or a healer, he finds out and there is nothing he can do about this so he tries hard to protect her but she gets BADLY HURT. Well she is unconscious and the person that is taking care of her notices that she is bleeding heavily between her legs and she has a miscarriage..She doesn’t know she’s pregnant and riftan wants to keep it a secret from her. He makes a decision to send her back to her dad forever because he believes that she keeps getting hurt with him so it’s safer for her, SUPER SAD.

So max is back with her dad and her dad is PISSED. He says that she’s gonna get punished and max is more sad about riftan so she doesn’t really care. Also Rosetta was also abused by her dad in a different way. Well skipping a bit of days riftan wants to see max one more time to say bye ya know? Her dad says no and Rosetta takes riftan to her and max is naked on the floor while her dad is standing above her beating her and while her dad was gonna go for a second hit riftan stops him and beats him to a bloody PULP. Well riftan gets her out of it and he’s mad like ‘why didn’t you tell me about this’ and the truth comes out. Well riftan takes her back and the princess says that she should go to the magic tower so she can learn healing magic in a more advance setting buuuuuut riftan is so against it. He tells max ‘if you go I won’t wait for you. This isn’t what I want nor what I need’ max decides to go because riftan land needs priest because he could lose it or something!! DIDNT understand that part all too well. Well weeks later she goes on a ship and is looking out to the dock and she doesn’t see riftan but after the ship leaves riftan goes on his horse crying saying ‘I lied when I said I wouldn’t wait’ and cries....
