Nah I am on board with you she 100% has no reason to trust him. He has clearly spent many years manipulating and enchanting people around him. He also has treated her like dirt all those years. MAgic and misunderstandings aside he's just been a straight up prick to her this whole time. He was even planning on killing her friends. hes not a good person. He's just not as bad as they think he is.
I do get where your coming from but that the the ML had fucked up shit going around his life too. He was treated badly by his mother, and had to witness and hear the horrible words other people would say about him so apparently it going to make him use his power as a defense mechanism to cope with the trauma that he got from his mom and his powers. And the reason he was rude around the FL was because he knew that the mom was going to hurt her if he was going to get close to her. So he pushed her away. And because of all this the misunderstanding started. They need to talk this out but the FL lead isn’t willing to give it a chance.
When he got the chance to talk he didn't. He is very bad at this whole communication thing (outside the online world so am I)
Plus, he is the one who has a goal, thus he should be the one to properly inatiate conversation. E.g. "can we talk", then say the stuff (tip: making a list of things you want to say should be helpful) or maybe even writing a letter (that's another option for us folks) you can give the letter to them irl for confidentiality reasons.
yeah sad backstory or not hes the one who has fricked up their whole relationship its kind of on him to make amends and he has just been very hostile the whole time. After being passive aggressively snubbed by him for years she is well within her right to call the whole relationship off and he has yet to explain a single thing about why he did what he did to her. Like from her perspective he threw her gift into the lake, treated her rudely, never came to her house to visit, ordered her around like a slave for his amusement and then threw her tea away. Embarrassed her publicly a number of times. Tried to kill her new friends. Tried to meddle in her new relationship (even if its contractual). Has been secretly casting magic on herself and many others for years. And now after she decides she wants nothing to do with him he still is following after her. Why on earth would she want to talk to him now?

Have you tried putting yourself in Duroa’s shoes? Will you be able to trust him “again” without having any explanations whatsoever? Because in real life, i won’t trust a person again by just doing those things.
