I hate him, he is a complete cheating idiot... he doesn't want to repeat his father mistake but he does the same exact thing to the empress. but I do feel for his traumatic past.. i can see why that made him crazy and make stupid decisions although that doesn't justify his actions against her while he was scheming with the mistress. Maybe he didn't think it would hurt her or affect her much he didn't know how bad the things the mistress would do and say he probably thought they have a fake marriage and after a while, they break up he wasn't ready for the stupid schemes of the mistress but he turned a blind eye since he didn't want to believe the mistress was evil he is stupid but he is also pitiful.. that's what i think i don't think she should forgive him lightly make sure he makes up for his actions and words but i also think he is the type of person who needs a second chance at life... I mean he was abused physically emotionally, was forced/ tricked into killing his own mother that got to be the most traumatizing thing and he was still very young if he wasn't effected by that then he might have been a sociopath.

I dropped since the mc will eventually get with him. I just wanted to see him regret b4 i left. Ofc he’ll be forgiven and the mc will fall for him… GOD!! What he needs is a therapist, not love from the mc. She shouldn’t even be giving him any—i’m so mad. Well, the author had to give her a happy ending since she is the empress so only he was the option… The author should have made her divorce him and have a happy ending with some other dude. Yeah agreed, he did redeem himself, but it don’t mean the mc should fall for him. The damage he did to her is already done. It’s completely unrealistic and tbh just deplorable to see that the author made her fall in love with a man who has killed her family (even if it was in another timeline, just knowing that he did do that at some point should automatically cut him off), cheated on her/her sister (even if they weren’t in love and it was political, if he even cared about her feelings he wouldn’t have let his feelings take control and be selfish, bc unlike him, she can’t also have a lover of her own like he can), used her for her INFERTILITY (which is obv false) and etc. . Then he said rudely “don’t expect love from me” Like bitch? Rememeber what u said? Keep the same energy. The tragic past trope didn’t even phase me bc that’s all these authors do is give damm stick up they asses mls to justify them and “shippable” with the mc. actually, the damage isn't 'done'. what happened in the past didn't happen in the present future bc fl became empress. i agree she shouldn't forget that he executed her family, but remember, the emperor in this timeline doesn't really know fl sister and he didn't execute fl family. and i kind of find it stupid of the fl for expecting love from someone she hates and blames the emperor for not returning it. like sure he said on their wedding day that they couldn't love each other, but 1. he already had a mistress (a manipulative mistress might i add) and 2. fl should've already known he would not love her. so why does she say he ruined his chance when he didn't even have one to begin with. what did she expect?!? she wanted revenge and wanted to save her family, yet she wants the love of the emperor. and now that he wants someone to love him without any motives, he finds it only from the empress. is it bad he wants a little happiness in his life? and the empress doesn't have the right to call him the 'copy' of his 'mother'. so im mad at both fl and ml.

Yes the damage is done bc she was there. It don’t matter if it was the present or past or future. She knows that he killed her family and saw everything bc she was there at the time. So the pain has already been afflicted.Time does not erase the pain as long as somebody remembers/has memories of it… and she has memories of it. Therefore, yes, the damage has already been done. He hurt her multiple times too deeply, the author shouldn’t have made her fall in love with this man. But yeah whateva, it is what it is *smh

hmmm....i can see where you're getting at, but the main problem i have with this is the fl taking it a little to much. like i know the fl has a right to be angry or cold to the emperor, but she took it a little to far by being plain rude...so idk...we'll see... (〜￣△￣)〜
