My sister has it also and going to a psychiatrist is very expensive so all we can do is make her feel that we are there to support her

Yeah agreed, I believe it is the kids in here saying that.
Postpartum depression (PPD) is caused by severe hormonal changes in a woman's body which causes their emotions to go wild.
On top of all the internal changes, the physical changes can cause the woman to feel pain, anxiety, depression, etc. They'll feel like their body is rejecting them and they can only really push the blame onto the people that made her that way.
It's a terrible, TERRIBLE illness for everyone in the family, especially since PPD has even lead to some mothers commiting suicide.
I just want people to understand why the woman might be acting like that escpecially since she had to take care of the baby alone all day to stew in her negativity without someone to pull her out of that depression.
Also, yeah you shouldnt take your anger out on a baby but women cant just control PPD and think rationally 24/7 after shoving a 10 cm new LIFE out of a normally closed tight hole.
P.S. Bless all the dads who've worked all day to support the family, they also deserve more credit ♡
