I think he knew, but he was angry because Ahin told him and for Illmo it was like "the end of the game" between them. He didin't want him to give up so easily...
oh he definitely knew, he was "allowing it all to happen" as ah in said. what he did by "confessing" was essentially end the charade between them. causing Ilmo to be furious cause thats NOT how he planned things to go. (for w/e reason he's insistent on keeping ah in near him so now he's changing his methods)

I’m surprised to read that Illmo wasn’t aware Ahin lied about his eyesight. I was certain he knew all along and was teasing him everytime.
