I don’t think he’s necessarily playing both of them. He’s made it obvious that he likes Yahwi. Cain just admitted his feelings for him so how is he suppose to react? It’s possible he’s thinking about how to properly reject Cain without hurting him too badly. I mean, we don’t know, we’ll see next chapter.

Exactly I mean he didn’t except cains feelins I think that was sign enough for Cain so he wasn’t playing him and he told Yahwi not to expect him to trust his feelings right away
