THIS HAS A SPOILER FOR BANANA FISH MANGA/ANIME OK, PROCEED ON YOUR CAUTION.
I’ll be honest :0 Most of the character in here are critically ill, mentally. They all need help yes yes. But for some reason the thought of suicide for Reiji is not bad with his mother. Let me explain why: I think any person who lived in that town and had this type of family, and people surrounding him/her would of course try to leave the town but with deep regrets and doubts due to leaving their family. So the other choice is dying. I know I wouldn’t be able to live freely knowing that family and friends are there suffering. So I’ll become a little selfish, especially when someone told me “it’s your fault that your mother is out there EVERY night with some guy and me ‘ducking’”. (Yes I said ducking) Like in Banana Fish, Ash dies knowing that Eiji will be free of any danger without him, so this was the only appropriate ending for them. It’s enough of suffering for everyone, and it hurts to see couple of teenagers hurting mentally because of other peoples mistakes and minds. They will live with these nightmares, so wouldn’t it better for them to end(?) and be born into another world. I’m sorry if you don’t like this, but meh.
