Lemme let off something off my chest

hey Hey HEEYYYY June 10, 2021 12:15 pm

Love the plot and the manhuwa and all, but... I dunno.... The Duke (ML) kinda rubbed me the wrong way, especially when he kept 'bumping' into her whenever she was out. It kinda reminded me of Melissa's brother in Beware of the Villainess. It gave me this stalker-like vibe.

Of course, I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he was always there coincidentally (whenever she was out). But, I just can't shake off that vibe.

Idk, I think it's just me ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I think he finds her accidentally and then stalks her until he can come out to say hello. So he is a stalker but he is a step above the brother because he actually pops out and and talks to the FL not just some weird peeping Tom. He has 0 intention of hiding his stalking.

We ve seen too much the priveledged dark haired tsundere obsessive ML who is not mature and reasonable enough to treat women with respect and real kindness.

Truth, he isn't the worst but that doesn't mean he is good. I'm kind of enjoying Daisy for that. He isn't really trying to be nice but he is. He asks for consent and clears up misunderstandings before blowing up in the FL face. He also trusts her judgement. Alas it is slow going with the storyline and I can't find a translation of the book which apparently is smutty.

My ultimate Bias seems to be purple hair, black eyes, may not seem nice but has a heart of gold. I have 0 trust for people that are too nice I always think they are being shady. They are light on the outside dark on the inside I'd prefer dark on the outside light on the inside. Like the Duke from false confession. He is close to my ultimate bias just add some good natures teasing and you got me.

I really enjoy the FL and ML in this story.
Because I really get the impression that they are kinda both on equal footing. Their power dynamic isn't that imbalanced or toxic like in the other fantasy romance reincarnated novel stories!
Daisy is despite her lineage that allowed her to turn back time actually just a plain simple modest nice girl that has the determination, inner rage/strenght and intelligence to make the best of her situation and fight within her limits. Not too op but also not weak, naive, fragile or easily lovestruck. The Duke/her Ml is an overused archetype but the author established that he is a fair considerate person and really respect/cares the FL without torturing/harming her out of tsundere mode. He can be very threatening but not without good reason.

I utterly love this ship. There is a reason he didn't want to marry/love but I don't want to spoil. Man I wish I could find the book translation I'm sure that restaurant scene was way spicier. Fuck asking for consent continuously and stopping when unsure what is this is it even manga. He also said women are not objects. He won me over so hard in that scene. If he had purple eyes that man would be my ultimate bias. I prefer a man who isn't necessarily nice on the outside but is on the inside. It is like something my friend mentioned. West Coasters are nice but not kind and East Coasters are kind but not nice. This is a gross generalization but I do identify with it as someone from NY who has resting bitch face. Like we will help you get your stroller up the stairs and walk off only making eye contact for a second to transmit intent to help.
