i think its not gonna be so simple... for one i think 704 aint gonna take san dying while laying down (up to this point hes been kept in the absolute dark)... and eunjae -who's aware of half the story but not the plan itself- once he finds out hes gonna bolt lol

If a human is killed while Hwan is in them their soul disappears along with Hwan. No chance for reincarnation. Hwan taunts Geumsun with this in chapter 54 and that’s why Geumsun couldn’t kill San the first time around.
Not sure what their plans are this time around but by the way Yama described Geumsun to Chungin and 944 as being the best person for the job because of his willingness to throw his life away for the cause I think Geumsun was planning on sacrificing himself all along and not San. San is just bait and can’t be killed as Hwan’s host in order for his soul to be kept in tact so he can be reincarnated as they promised.

What I gather is that San will die with the bad guy in him, then they will reincarnate him. But eunjae will forget san when he dies? Then when he is reincarnated he will he remember him again? I think I’m gonna need tissues
