By that point in the story, Maetel also knows he's the daddy. He's not sure if Louis wants to keep the baby or not. He's not certain if Louis likes him back. I guess this is Maetel's way of ensuring his long time crush and baby can't skip town. Probably good communication would have been better
The Duke Wayton is the murderer. He started murdering people because he saw a girl who looks like Louis while he is waiting for him (This is the day he drugged Louis in the ball). He is perverted killer. He masturbated in front of the tied Louis. (He kidnapped Louis but the crown prince rescued his bebe) The bad thing is he locked up Louis in a room. He really put bars in the door to prevent him for escaping. I guess he did that because Louis escaped and got kidnapped by Duke Wayton. He is afraid that Louis will runaway again.
