This is a spoiler! Blanche’s mom raped him in order to get pregnant, he didn’t want to sleep with her and she forced him which led to Blanche and why he didn’t care for her. (Not really specific but that’s the jist of it)

You know I can understand his apprehension towards Blanche since she’s a rape baby so he probably felt a lot of trauma seeing her but I’m glad he’s trying to separate those emotions from her and start doing some kind gestures
