I think what is happening was always meant to happen, but the ''saintess'' tried to stop this, by doing something with the ring. this time the MC found the original ring, so what the saintess was trying to stop probably was reset when she (MC) first wore it. so yeah her turning back was probably to get things back in their rightful place

The saint now is really a saint but she's only temporary. She was placed as a temp. saint by the so called goddess because her daughter is to be the real saint. The mom became obsessed by the power of the saint though and so despite knowing she's only temp. she did everything for her to be the real saint. A demon helped ( can't remember if it's the real mastermind) her and brainwashed Ahun and made fake wings that will help the fake saint. The dragon and the goddess couldn't do a thing to help the prince and the real saint, Noel realized too late that the real saint was the daughter and the other wings didn't get their powers in time. And so the 1st timeline happened.
The dragon and the goddess were the ones that brought back time bec. That's the only way they could help. Something will happen to them if they did more, I thinkk. Can't remember
I kinda wonder if this is part of a grand plan. That she neede to live a second time to reset the balance. It sucks but maybe the goddess is doing this as well? Maybe this is the best way for the correct person to wield the goddesses power?
