misogyny?? they don’t like her because of her father not because she’s a woman. her father made them do his dirty work and also made it seem like maxi willingly stayed with her dad while riftan was fighting the dragon

There's no misogyny at all. The one they despise the most is the Duke and they can't know that his daughter isn't an horrible person like him. The fact that she didn't managed the castle during the expedition made them believe she's loyal to her father. They'll understand with time.

stop throwing words around, if anything it’s disrespectful to the victims of actual misogyny

Lol.. go and read what misogyny is XDDD
Either you didn't understand what the word truly means or you didn't comprehend the chapter ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

I'm guessing the misogyny is either from them blaming her from something her father has done, therefore making her an extension of her father instead of an individual human being. But even then it's a stretch. If they were hostile than it would be another conversation but they seem to just be uncomfortable.

The only misogyny is being petty that she isn't pregnant. Like men shouldn't speak about women's ability to get pregnant or the state of their pregnancy.

Yes, I'm talking about the pregnancy mainly. Being so mad bc she hasn't done her "only job" like fuck off. But the whole being uncomfortable bc of her father is also low key misogynistic. Women are incredibly often held accountable for the actions of their family members and men in general, despite not being at fault

Yeah, considering the setting, I'm assuming the society is very sexist, or at least more sexist than now, and that women would have little control when it comes to big political decisions such as sending a troop to kill a dragon. So blaming her is unreasonable, but I can't help but find it understandable. If I don't like someone, I'm not going to be uncomfortable around people associated with that person, and considering the knights aren't be outright hostile I would say it's more of a natural response than blatant misogyny.

Dude her "only job" was managing the castle, NOT getting pregnant. Soldiers never cared about childbearing at all. She was the lady of the castle and didn't even show up for years despite them risking their own lives for her father, of course they're hella angry.
Also, @Rora, it's not like they see her as an extension of her father, it's just that since she didn't went to Anatol after the wedding they assumed she didn't want to leave the rich Dukedom for the poor country of her husband and that therefore she's loyal to her father. Some of them *are* hostile to her because of this but the prejudices they have come with reasons. They'll come around with time anyway
