Is he really the bad guy? He got rid of knights that would do anything for money. I am not mad at him for killing the female lead because she has probably killed more than he has and would have continued if she didnt die. I am not gonna like him for now because I dont know why he ordered the crown prince to be killed. I am gonna wait and see how it plays out. But our fl deserved what she got. I hope she accepts it and doenst seek revenge. Because if she did everyome that she killed before would have the right ro seek revenge.

Well it could be several reasons such as.
1: An order from the king.
2: The prince being easerly manipulated by nobels.
3: The prince being a shitty person and a danger if he became king.
4: The kingdome needed an exuse to start a war.

In case 4 FL would be a scapegoat, orderd to kill the prince and the killed for it. As her rep says she will do anything for money, it would be easy to go "she was payed off by X county / kingdome to kill him" hence leaglizing a war.

    forgot to put in point.
5: The comander could be a badguy
6: The comander could be trying to instate another candidate for king.

Sorry for not wording my comment right. I meant to say that I dont know if his reason for ordering to kill the crown prince was evil or good. As you listed there could be a good reason for it or not. I am not mad at him for getting rid of the fl. You cant trust people that would do anything for money. How could he know that she wouldnt follow someone else if he ordered more money. You cant keep such people around you. They will betray you sooner or later. (I am talking about the world in mangas not real world)

The thing is, she did anything for him for money. If he had ordered her to do only good things she would have only done good things. Instead, he ordered her to do vicious things. He doesn’t have the upper moral hand since at the end the source of the wrongdoing is him. He can’t self righteously judge her for doing evil for coin since he spent coin for evil to be committed. If you pay for a hitman you are just as guilty of murder if not more. He is equally guilty and if he acts like he’s justified in judging her he deserves revenge.

You can’t kill someone for potentially betraying you either- that’s like killing someone who hasn’t even planned to murder someone yet for potentially murdering because they hold a grudge against someone. It’s unreasonable.

She is old enough to differenciate between good and bad. He isnt worse than her or more evil. She got money for killing and he paid for killing. And he got rid of her bc he knew she couldnt be trusted. It makea sense in such a world. Why keep someone near you that is dangerous and willing to do anything for money? It makes sense to kill her. He did the right thing. He isnt stupid. Of course he isnt a saint. Not at all, but she isnt either. If he is evil, so is she.

He didn’t do the right thing. He is acting like a mafia boss- hiring someone to do his dirty work and then getting rid of them once they’re no longer of use. It’s not justifiable. He’s not innocent. He’s not good. He’s equally responsible of the crimes she committed. On top of that HE betrayed her. That puts him as the worse party. Doesn’t matter his reasoning- it wasn’t justified just like ordering her to be vicious wasn’t justified.

Why does he get to kill her wrongfully and she doesn’t have the right to get revenge?

    Hvbit June 13, 2021 1:51 pm

Why does the fl deserve death but the equally corrupt party (if not more since he’s behind all the evil schemes) doesn’t?

No, he's evil. Why did he even tell her to assassinate the Crown Prince in the first place if he was just acting out to get rid of people who would probably betray them? She successfully killed the prince which means the dude was waiting for her to finish so that he can do what he gotta do. That ain't something a knight would do. That's just scummy and playing dirty. He's the one who's spreading the dirt of a knight, she's just doing what he said, so no, he's a piece of shit and no way in hell what he did was for the sake of anything.
