I feel bad for dekis :(( he knew of what was happening w/ the children but couldn’t take action because the solon family was deeply involved w the issue. So he ran away.
Im just saying that it’s hard to be whistleblower in a setting like that because it’s putting all the family at risk. At worst, all members of solon family wouldve been beheaded or atleast be imprisoned for life.
Medea was able to be a whistleblower because she had the support of that pyscho prince who was willing to do whatever it takes to bring down ducal families.
This is what sets the two siblings apart. Dekis was too ‘soft’ and kindhearted to be the family head. Medea is too ambitious and held grudges frighteningly so. Dekis really wasnt suited to be the successor of their duchy
