He actually does, clearly as any typical ML he has a lot of trauma... so that is why he acts and does the shit he did. It seems to me the first queen was an asshole, and before the second queen died she also wasn’t warm. Basically blocking himself off from hurt.
oh me at first. though, since the original host of the MC's body was a real bitch, i did cut him some slack for being assholish towards her, but i thought he was a real dick for how he treated his daughter. but, by this point in the story, he's getting real better in terms of behaviour towards MC and his daughter, and from the spoilers that i've read, his past trauma really does explain a lot of his actions (not saying they justify them). like it doesn't feel like those poorly pasted "oh tee hee male lead has trauma so it's all okay!!" type of characters you know
