The equation changes when it's the other party that came on to you. Ian did not initiate anything. He went along with it because he could not help himself out of love. Besides, the guy who sold the drug to that bitch said that he would even pounce on a 60 year old lady under the influence of that drug. Ian is not guilty in the least bit. If anything, he's the victim.
You're right Ian took advantage of the situation but I think that is was consensual in a way. Raymond would have otherwise reacted differently after he found out. I think it was more like both took advantage of each other in a moment of need.
also afterward Raymond took advantage of Ian's feeling also so... in the long run I think it balances itself out.
