Actually in volume 3 of the novel, after kang and juheon reunited again at the cafe, there was brief backstory of kang after juheon left him. It was detailed there how he lead a promiscuous life, how he was diagnosed with the link and was on the hunt to find the omega he linked with. This fact was used by Moochan in the later chapters to provoke Kang. Moochan told juheon about it, but, juheon does not care about it and told him that they love each other. I'm not sure if this part will be included in the webtoon.

I was actually quite confused as to why it did not cross his mind that juheon might possibly his link since juheon was the only one he had sex with in the manhwa. And so, I read novel. That's where I found out Kang fucked around with a lot of people so, he was not sure who he imprinted with.
