Pretty sure he turned into a human, it was the only way he could be saved, I guess.
Nope he isn’t a human anymore he’s a link he will still live even though he’s not a vampire though
technically, chi hwan turned into a human, then as he was about to die, the new vampire (old human/uke) make him into his link. now both are immortal <3
