I think it has more to do with she feels she doesn't deserve to be with Cedric rather than I want to preserve the original timeline. Which makes sense that even if the timeline changed she'd still feel the guilt of what she did in the past. It'd be pretty unrealistic for her to just go on as if the past didn't happen. Though I disagree with her trying to pair Cedric and Lysia, she thinks that after all the bad she's done that putting the two (she believed were in love) together would be something good that she could do and that they deserved each other.
I thought she was different, but she's just like the other females that are obsessed with the first timeline. It's ridiculous because as soon as she got to the pass, something changed, and she altered so many things, didn't she think his feelings may have changed as well?
