Matthew is sus kinda also because jin remembered hearing his name but he couldn't remember and also a lot of violence happened in the past that is haunting him and his whole relationship with his ex hyung that he used to fuck.. My bad, I thought you meant Matthew was the one with the violent past so I thought your comment was a spoiler.
So I looked back and you are referring to two brief panels in chapter 4 or 5 from Jin's pov. He wonders if he heard the name Matthew before, then a bloody image of an old dead guy (looks like he was beaten and strangled with a rope) comes to mind and Jin gets a migraine...None of that makes the young college student, Matthew look sus, which I thought was what this whole thread is about. If anything it makes Jin look sus bc it's his memory.

Umm....that *was* a theory. Matthew is sus because his history is still unknown, and he's somewhat detached from human emotions. That weird emotions chart on the wall, his habit of wearing glasses to avoid making people notice his expressionless face, his detest for normal social interactions, and why he became an orphan...there must be something connecting them or that whole shit was pointless. Jin's illness, his tattoo, Matthew's orphan past, has to be connected for sure. It'll obviously become a plot point in the future. Matthew is an awkward sweetheart but there is obviously more than what meets the eye when it comes to him. That's why he's sus...unlike jin, who displays sociopathic tendencies but is still more normal than matthew. I'm still not sure he sees Jin as a person but as a something he's curious about and of course because he is so goddamn ideal for him. Following a stranger to a gallery isn't exactly 'mentally helathy" poster boy behaviour.
